At Lindford House Holiday Cottages, we pride ourselves on offering a range of beautifully appointed and personally inspected holiday cottages in some of the most stunning coastal locations in Cornwall. Our properties are situated in the areas of Coverack, Gillan, and the Lizard Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have been letting holiday cottages since 1997 and have a wealth of experience in providing our guests with a comfortable and trouble-free holiday.

Our Cottages

All the cottages on our website are privately owned, well-appointed, and personally inspected by Lindford House Holiday Cottages. We have a range of cottages to suit all sizes and preferences, from cozy one-bedroom properties to spacious six-bedroom properties. Our cottages are located in some of the most beautiful and tranquil areas of Cornwall, offering stunning views of the sea, countryside, and surrounding landscapes.

The Area

South West Cornwall, where we live, is a unique and special place. The Lizard Peninsula is the warmest place in mainland Britain, enjoying the full benefit of the Gulf Stream. The area is steeped in history, with ancient monuments, prehistoric sites, and picturesque fishing villages. The South West Coastal Path winds its way around the Peninsula, providing exceptionally beautiful walks and much of the area is owned by the National Trust, who ensure that it remains preserved and unspoilt.

Things to Do

There is plenty to see and do in the area, from water sports, such as sailing and windsurfing, to exploring the local pubs, shops, and cafes. Visits to the nearby Helford River, with its creeks and inlets, provide another face of this beautiful region. There are also exciting activities to enjoy, such as boat hire, walking, and cycling. The area is rich in history and wildlife, with the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek and Trebah and Glendurgan gardens being just a few examples.

About Us

We are a family that has enjoyed regular holidays in South West Cornwall for over 30 years. We eventually made our home here in the Spring of 1997. We now live in a typical 19th-Century former Blacksmith's cottage, with our adjacent barn, Meadow Barn, being converted into a beautifully appointed, self-contained holiday property. We are passionate about sharing our love for this beautiful region with others and providing our guests with a comfortable and memorable holiday experience.
