A Home from Home

At Valley Lodge Residential Care Home, we understand the importance of feeling at home. Our warm and welcoming environment has been transformed with an extension completed in January 2016, offering a range of accommodation options in tastefully decorated bedrooms that can be individually styled. All our rooms have an en-suite facility, and the majority have a wet room. We are proud to be a Dementia-friendly home, incorporating colour co-ordination and comfortable furnishings in our lounges and bedrooms.

Lifestyle Choices

At Valley Lodge Residential Care Home, we believe in providing our residents with a range of lifestyle choices. We have a dedicated activities co-ordinator who plans various stimulating activities, including art therapy, gentle exercise, music, quizzes, outings, and entertainers. Our popular hairdresser visits weekly, and we offer a daily selection of wholesome meals prepared from fresh ingredients in our in-house kitchen. We cater for special diets and provide regular drinks and snacks throughout the day.

Medical Services and Spiritual Needs

At Valley Lodge Residential Care Home, we understand the importance of medical services and spiritual needs. We have visits from local GP practices, an optician, a dentist, and a chiropodist. We can arrange provision of regular medication ordering and administration. Our staff are committed to meeting residents' spiritual needs by arranging visits from clergy of different denominations.

Dedicated Staff

Our staff are carefully selected and receive regular training in all aspects of care. Our staff are committed to encouraging and promoting residents' independence, respecting their wishes, and treating people they care for with dignity. All staff are required to have a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certification before commencing employment. Our care provision is 24/7.

Our home has four separate lounge areas that provide a diverse range of options to meet all preferences. From enjoying the company of other residents to individual relaxation or listening to music in our Retro lounge, there is something for everyone.

State of the Art Bathrooms

Our bathrooms are equipped with state of the art baths, and each room is equipped with a call bell system and digital TV.

Gardens and Outdoor Spaces

Our gardens provide a safe enclosed area for residents to sit and relax with afternoon tea, weather permitting. We have enhanced security and safety measures, including CCTV in all common areas. Residents are also able to assist in gentle gardening activities if they wish to.

Accessible and Inclusive

Our gardens have been thoughtfully planned to provide a gently strolling area making it accessible for all, including wheelchair users. The patio is a very popular area to sit and chat with afternoon tea and biscuits, and the enclosed courtyard is very sociable for residents to socialise.
