Our Mission and Values

At St. Marks Pre-School, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can develop and thrive. We are passionate about helping children become confident, independent learners with a can-do attitude, who are ready for the next stage of their education. Our mission is to provide a happy, welcoming, and friendly environment that fosters a love of learning and laid the foundations for future success.

Our Facilities

Our pre-school is located in a beautiful setting, boasting two separate classrooms for children aged 2-3 and 3-4, as well as a large playground and an outdoor classroom. This allows our children to benefit from a range of activities and experiences, both indoors and outdoors. We also have a garden complete with raised beds, where children can learn about growing their own food and develop an appreciation for nature.

Our Programme

Our programme of activities is designed to meet the needs and interests of our children, and includes a range of creative and adventurous activities. We believe in providing a balance of structured activities, such as literacy and numeracy sessions, alongside more free-flowing play to allow children to develop their social and emotional skills. We also run programmes of activities with local providers, including music, storytelling, dance, and sports classes, to broaden our children's experiences and develop their interest in a range of subjects.

Our Staff

We are proud to have a highly experienced and qualified team of practitioners who are dedicated to providing the highest level of care and education. Our practitioners hold a range of qualifications, including level 3 early years qualifications, and we maintain a programme of continuous professional development to ensure that we are always up-to-date with the latest research and best practice. We also have a strong commitment to staff retention, and many of our practitioners have been with us for several years.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

We are committed to providing an inclusive environment for all children, regardless of their abilities or needs. We believe in valuing diversity and promoting equality, and we work closely with families to ensure that we are meeting the individual needs of each child. We employ a team of support workers and bank staff to aid in the inclusion of children with additional needs, and we are proud of our ability to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for all children.

Our Accreditation

We are proud to have been rated as GOOD by Ofsted, the national body responsible for inspecting and regulating education and childcare. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality education and care, and we are continually striving to improve and achieve excellence in all aspects of our work.
