Welcome to Bikesparx, a premier bike repair and servicing business operated by Mark Wilson. With a rich history in the bike trade since 2012, Mark has honed his skills in California, where he obtained the US equivalent of Cytech Level 2 certification, also known as the UBI's 'Certified Bicycle Technician' qualification. Working closely with one of America's top mountain bike mechanics, Joe Binatena, Mark further developed his skills in the UK, focusing on road bikes and children's bikes.

Mark's personal ethos is to treat every bike as carefully as he would his own. As a keen road cyclist and triathlete, he understands the importance of maintaining bikes in pristine condition. With a solid track record of happy customers, Bikesparx has established a reputation for exceptional mechanical skills, outstanding customer service, and a commitment to solve any bike-related issues.

• Bike Assembly: Ideal for those who have purchased a bike online and need it assembled quickly and safely for optimal performance.
• Bike Servicing: Comprehensive bike servicing tailored for individual needs, covering 1 to 4 services per year to keep your bike in peak condition.
• Bike Repairs: From common issues to diagnosing problems, Bikesparx provides expert repair services to get your bike back in prime condition.
• Free Bike Check (Mobile Repairs): Enjoy the convenience of having your bike collected, repaired, and returned to you by our mobile cycle mechanic.
• Additional Services: Bikesparx offers individual repair costs, assembly, and mobile services.

Free Bike Check

Every bike booked in for servicing receives a complimentary check, often referred to as an "M-check." This service covers essential components to ensure your bike's safe and reliable performance:

• Wheels: Trueness, bearings, and tyre condition
• Cockpit: Tightness of bolts, bars, and headset inspection
• Drive-train: Chain wear, and overall condition
• Saddle and seat post: Security checks
• Brakes: Functionality and pad wear

Where issues arise, we discuss recommendations and any associated costs (labour or parts) before initiating further work. Please note, the free bike check is not offered as a standalone service; it is included with all bike servicing and repair bookings at the Bikesparx workshop and provided prior to any service or repair work.

Bike Servicing

To keep your bike maintained and safe, schedule a regular check-up and service at least every 12 months. This routine maintenance ensures issues are identified and corrected promptly, reducing the risk of significant and expensive problems. Our thorough servicing includes:

• Brakes: Checked for damage/wear and adjusted using existing parts (hydraulic brakes not included)
• Tyres: Inspected for damage/wear and re-inflated to the recommended PSI
• Headset, seat post, and saddle: Inspected for tightness and functionality
