Tal y Cafn Boarding Kennels and Cattery is a family-run business that has been dedicated to providing a caring and supportive environment for pets since 2001. Located in the beautiful Conwy Valley of North Wales, we are passionate about giving your beloved pets the highest standards of care and attention.
Our Story
Our journey began when Aled and Rachel, along with their five children, decided to devote their lives to caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. With a rich heritage of dog training, Aled's family has a long history of breeding, training, and showing dogs. Aled's great uncle was a Welsh National Sheepdog trials champion, and his grandmother was an experienced breeder of Afghan Hounds.
Our Expertise
Before establishing Tal y Cafn Kennels, Aled worked as an animal nutritionist for a leading company and later lectured in livestock nutrition and kennel and cattery management. His expertise has enabled us to design and build kennels that provide the highest standards of comfort, hygiene, and safety.
Our Services
At Tal y Cafn, we provide a range of services to cater to the needs of your pets. Our state-of-the-art kennels are designed to provide a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for your dogs. Each kennel is equipped with the latest technology and meets the highest standards of animal welfare.
We also cater to feline friends by offering a spacious and comfortable cattery with underfloor heating, central conservatory, and natural light. Our small animal boarding services cater to guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rabbits, and other small animals, providing them with a warm and cozy environment.
Our Aims
Our aim is to provide a safe, comfortable, and happy stay for your pets. We understand that leaving your pets behind can be stressful for you and your pets, which is why we strive to provide a homely and welcoming environment that makes you feel at ease.
Opening Times
We are open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 5 pm. We are closed for collections and drop-offs on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
