At Pitreavie Playgroup, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop. Our charitable, non-profit making organisation is committed to offering high-quality early years care and learning to children from two years old. Our team of experienced and qualified staff are passionate about creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where children can feel safe and supported as they take their first steps towards independence.

Our Services

Pitreavie Playgroup offers a range of services to support the development and growth of young children. Our early learning and childcare programme is designed to provide a gentle introduction to independence and separation from parents, in a homely environment that is both stimulating and relaxed. We believe in providing a friendly and approachable atmosphere, where children can socialise with others of their own age, and parents can feel confident in the care and education we provide.

Our playgroup is located in a beautiful bungalow setting, with a fully secured garden and ample free parking. We offer a range of sessions to suit the needs of different families, including term-time hours, 50-week patterns, and wrap-around care on a fee-paying basis. We also provide funded places for eligible children, with optional wrap-around care.

Our experienced and qualified staff are dedicated to providing a tailored approach to each child's learning and development. We believe in working in partnership with parents and carers to plan activities and opportunities that meet the individual needs of each child. We also provide a healthy eating policy, with breakfast and afternoon snacks provided, and parents are welcome to provide lunch for their children.

Our Approach

At Pitreavie Playgroup, we believe in providing a holistic approach to early years care and education. We follow the same curriculum and frameworks as Local Authority Nurseries, using Pre-Birth to Three and Curriculum for Excellence. Our staff are registered with the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and hold Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) certificates, ensuring that your child is in safe and capable hands.

We believe in providing a wide range of activities and learning opportunities, including literacy, numeracy, art, music, and physical play. We also provide resources to support fine motor skills development, early maths, science, and writing skills. Our Famly App records each child's progress, keeping families updated with their child's development and events at Playgroup.
