The Venue At The Royal Liver Building

Situated in the heart of Liverpool, the Royal Liver Building is an iconic symbol of the city's rich history and cultural significance. Completed in 1911, the building stands tall as one third of the world-famous 'Three Graces' alongside the Port of Liverpool Building and the Cunard Building, overlooking the majestic River Mersey. Atop each clock tower are the mythical Liver Birds, designed by Carl Bernard Bartels, serving as protectors of the city and its sailors.

Our History

The Royal Liver Group, once employing over 6,000 people, required larger premises and commissioned the construction of a new head office in 1907. Designed by Walter Aubrey Thomas, the building's groundbreaking design was initially met with scepticism, but the foundation stone was laid on 11 May 1908. The Royal Liver Building was officially opened on 19 July 1911 by Lord Sheffield, becoming the first major structure in Britain to be built using reinforced concrete.
