Welcome to Gyllyngvase House, a family-run guesthouse situated in the heart of Falmouth, Cornwall. Our charming property has a rich history, dating back to 1880 when it was one of the first residential coastal properties to be built on Gyllyngvase Road, just 200 yards from the stunning Gyllyngvase Beach.

Our Heritage

Over the years, Gyllyngvase House has undergone extensive development, with the surrounding area now classed as a conservation area to protect its heritage and natural beauty. In November 2018, the property was purchased by Andrew and Elle Wilson, who immediately embarked on a full and extensive refurbishment to retain many of the original features of the house.

Our Accommodation

Gyllyngvase House offers twelve rooms, each individually designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our rooms range from singles to doubles, deluxe doubles, king doubles, premium doubles, superior doubles, and twin rooms. With the exception of our single rooms, all rooms are ensuite. Our single room has its own private bathroom for the sole use of the single room.

Our Facilities

All our rooms come equipped with premium toiletries from The White Company, free WiFi access, tea and coffee making facilities, mineral water, biscuits, hairdryers, and Smart Televisions. For added comfort, our Deluxe room, Room 11, and our King room, Room 12, are fitted with state-of-the-art air conditioning. Our new Garden Room is the perfect place to relax, take in views of the garden or look down to the Sea.

Our Amenities

We offer a large car park on site, subject to availability, and Falmouth Town Railway Station is just a 5-minute walk away. On-street parking is also available, subject to availability. We welcome children over the age of 16. Our property is wheelchair accessible, and our new Ground Floor Superior King room is ideally suited for any guest with limited mobility.
