Bindon Engineering

Bindon Engineering is a distinguished family-owned business that has been at the forefront of the CNC machining industry for over half a century. Established in 1965 by John Lawrence and John Reece, the company has built a reputation for excellence and has been based in Wareham for many years. Today, Bindon Engineering is wholly owned by John Lawrence and his son Ian, who joined the business in 1989. In 2009, the company moved to its current location in Holton Heath, to a modern 36,000 sq ft factory on a 3-acre site, providing a much-increased production capacity and currently employing over 70 dedicated employees.

Our unwavering commitment to quality is the foundation of our success. We strive to meet the highest possible standards and have adopted the ISO 9001 quality management system in pursuit of this goal. Our approval number is ISO 9001 - 0003617.

In our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we have replaced all old tube fittings with LED fittings, with the majority controlled by sensors. This project has been part-funded by Low Carbon Dorset, as part of the European Regional Development Fund, and will save over 69 tonnes of CO2 each year.

• Machine Shop - Our machine shop is equipped with the latest CNC machinery, enabling us to provide precision engineering services to the highest standards.
• CNC Turning - With a wide range of around 20 CNC lathes operating 24/7, we can handle high-volume CNC turning projects efficiently and effectively.
• Machining Centres - We have a variety of machining centres capable of handling complex parts with ease, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and repeatability.
• Inspection Equipment - Our advanced inspection equipment is crucial to maintaining our high standards of quality management, ensuring that every part we produce meets or exceeds our customers' expectations.
• Other Services - We offer a wide range of other services, including our own delivery service in the UK, and cater to clients in various industries.

Our spacious 15,000 sq ft storage area accommodates raw materials and orders awaiting delivery, allowing us to handle large-scale projects and maintain short lead times for our customers.
