Our Accommodation
Our five cozy letting rooms are designed to provide a comfortable stay, while our beautifully styled rooms offer thoughtful touches to ensure a relaxing stay. Our Bar and Food
At The Hare and Hounds, we take our drinks very seriously. Our bartenders have spent countless hours researching craft ales, testing tipples, and creating our cocktail list. We have five hand-pulls showcasing the best of Cumbrian ales, a wine list featuring classic examples of our favorite grapes, and a selection of gluten-free pale ales.
Our food is simple, fresh, and delicious. We serve hand-rolled-to-order pizzas, gorgeous comfort food dishes, and award-winning burgers made with locally sourced ingredients and prepared in our own kitchen. We recommend booking a table if you wish to dine with us. We also offer takeaways at 20% off menu price, subject to availability.
Our History and Team
Ash and Becky Dewar purchased The Hare and Hounds in 2013 and have been lovingly taking care of it ever since. They welcome everyone, including kids, muddy boots, and dogs. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring every guest feels at home in our cozy pub.
