At Hook Podiatry Monmouth, we provide a full range of foot treatments, from general chiropody care such as nail cutting and hard skin removal to more specialised biomechanical conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis, Achillies Tendinopathy, shin splints, and excessive 'rolling-in'. We specialise in Fungal nail treatment, nail surgery, and shockwave/laser therapy.

We treat general foot pain, Plantar Fasciitis, Achillies Tendinopathy/Tendonitis, Fungal Nails, Verrucas, Heel pain, Forefoot pain (neuroma, etc.), Arthritis (osteoarthritis), Pain from corns and callus, Knee pain, and Bunion pain. We also offer Diabetic foot assessments, Ulcer/wound care, and the Onyfix nail brace system for ingrown toenails.

Ingrowing Toenails

Ingrowing toenails of all types are treated here, ranging from mild to moderate cases that can be dealt with using conservative treatment, such as trimming, re-shaping and packing the nail to allow it to grow out cleanly. For more severe ingrown toenails, local anaesthetic can be used with Nail Surgery to permanently fix the ingrowing side. We now offer the Onyfix nail brace system, which can correct some ingrown/involuted nails without the need for injections or surgery. For all cases, an initial assessment appointment is needed to choose the best option for each individual.
