Our Mission
Our mission is to provide and maintain recreational facilities for the benefit of the inhabitants of West Dorset and its neighbourhood, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.
Our Facilities and Services
Our state-of-the-art fitness suite and gym are equipped with the latest Technogym equipment and free weights, as well as a revolutionary SkillX Studio, offering a unique workout experience. Our 25-metre, six-lane main pool and 12-metre teaching pool provide a safe and enjoyable environment for swimming and aquatics activities. We also offer a range of group fitness classes, personal training, and exercise on prescription programmes to cater to diverse fitness needs.
In addition to our fitness and aquatics facilities, we provide a variety of activities for children, including Gym Tots, swim school, and kids' activities. Our centre also features squash, badminton, and table tennis courts, as well as meeting rooms and a birthday party venue.

Overview of Leisure Centre Reviews
Cleanliness and Maintenance
The cleanliness and maintenance of the leisure centre have been a point of concern for some reviewers. Mark Van Cuylenburg mentioned that the first-floor pool area and ground-floor toilet were not clean. Charlie Francis-Pape also commented that the changing rooms were run down and needed a good clean.
