West Linton Primary School and Early Learning & Childcare centre is a rural primary school in the Tweeddale Learning Community of Scottish Borders Council, offering a full range of educational opportunities for children aged 2-12 years. Our school building, which opened in October 2013, sits in the heart of the beautiful village of West Linton, and our catchment area extends beyond the village to incorporate outlying areas, including the village of Carlops and parts of Dolphinton.

At West Linton Primary School and ELC, we follow the Curriculum for Excellence, which provides our children with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in four contexts for learning: Curriculum Areas, Interdisciplinary Learning, Ethos and Life of the School, and Wider Achievement. Our experienced and dedicated staff, led by our Headteacher, Ms Curson, are committed to providing a supportive and stimulating environment that enables our children to achieve their full potential.

  • A range of clubs and activities to develop skills and interests outside of the classroom
  • A dedicated Early Learning and Childcare centre for children aged 2-5 years
