Empowering children to grow and thrive in a nurturing environment
Oak Tree Day Nursery is a homely, purpose-built nursery situated within the Total Fitness leisure complex. We have been providing wrap-around care for returning parents since our opening in 2003. Our ideal location within the Willerby Business Park ensures we are able to support families from Cottingham, Beverley, Willerby, Hessle, and Anlaby and wider areas due to quick access to road links.
Our Philosophy
At Oak Tree Day Nursery, we work in partnership with parents and carers to provide a caring and nurturing environment. We value parents as the child's primary carer and strive to include you in daily events and value your wishes and input during your child's journey with us. We believe that every child is unique and special, and we provide a stimulating and relaxing environment that supports their development at their own pace.
Our Services
We provide daily care for babies aged eight weeks to five years old. Our nursery is designed with the needs of our children in mind, and each room is specifically designed and set up for the ages and stages. We have an enclosed outdoor area which is fenced and secure, and our children have daily access to the outdoor area to develop physical skills and well-being.
We offer a range of sessions, including full-time, part-time, morning, afternoon, and term-time contracts. We also offer a creche facility for parents wishing to use the gym. We strive to be as flexible as possible to cater to the needs of our families.
Our Facilities
Our nursery is fully air-conditioned with separate room control temperature switches. We have a fully secured outdoor area, enclosed playground with a variety of equipment and activities, and a quiet room for relaxation and quiet activities.

Our staff are experienced in childcare and have a wealth of knowledge of children's development. Our management team, along with the room leaders, have a firm commitment to providing a safe, stimulating, and relaxing environment in which your child can develop at their own pace.

On the other hand, Gemma S. expresses extreme dissatisfaction with her experience, giving it a 1-star rating.
Positive Experience
Rebecca's review highlights the establishment's welcoming atmosphere, where her boy looks forward to attending twice a week. She commends the staff for being friendly and notes that the prices are reasonable for the services offered.
Negative Experience
Gemma's review paints a disturbing picture of poor care and neglect. She left her child at the establishment for 1 hour and 30 minutes while she used the gym, and when she returned, her child had contracted gastroenteritis. Gemma's child had sensory issues and was not provided with essential comfort items such as juice and a blanket, leading to tears and distress. She expresses outrage at the lack of attention her child received and feels that the staff was unaware of her child's needs.
