Our Approach to Care
Our training and values are unique to Doneraile Care Home and are regularly praised by the Care Quality Commission and all visitors to our Home. We invest heavily in in-house and external training, with programmes based on the Social Care Institute of Excellence. As a smaller home, all our staff get to know our residents well, and we encourage our staff to mix and join in on activities.

We see care as a partnership between you, the Home, and Family. We make every effort to involve your Family as part of a three-way process in your care. Family members are given plenty of opportunities to take part in your care, with unrestricted access to the Home, regular updates with staff and management, and private appointments with our staff regarding your care whenever necessary.

Our varied and interesting activities, along with our approach to care that always supports our residents to join in, ensure that our residents quickly rise to discover a renewed energy. We consider activities not just the business of our Activities Coordinator, but also our Care Assistants who spend valuable one-to-one time with residents, playing games, joining outings, or just having a chat.
Living with Purpose
While some of our residents join us just wanting a place where they can be safe and enjoy the amenities, many benefit from our Living with Purpose scheme. Contributing to things such as the running of the home or fundraising for charities or local concerns has been shown to provide benefits to the emotional and physical wellbeing.

Food is one of life's pleasures, and our menus include a combination of traditional and non-traditional dishes designed to satisfy all tastes, home-cooked with nutritious ingredients that are delivered twice each week. We also offer Tasty Tuesdays and Fun Fridays, where residents can sample dishes from around the world that they may not have otherwise tried.

We want your bedroom to be a home-from-home and encourage you to personalise it to make it your own. Each room is lovingly decorated in cool, calming tones and designed to help you relax. Available in-room facilities include TV with Freeview, WiFi, full furnishing, telephone or access to the main-line cordless phones to take calls where you wish, and an emergency call system.
