Transforming Healthcare, One Placement at a Time

Here at the Horse & Jockey, we're proud to be a beloved hostelry that has been serving the community since 1740. Over the years, we've undergone many transformations, but since 2012, we've been dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for our customers. Our hard work has paid off, earning us numerous awards, including CAMRA East Midland's District Pub of the Year, CAMRA Nottingham Branch Pub of the Year, and more.

A Pub Like No Other

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere, complete with quiet background music and the crackling sound of our open fire. We're proud to offer 13 ever-changing hand-pulls, ensuring that you'll always find a perfect pint to suit your taste. And, with our peaceful corners and cozy nooks, you can relax, unwind, and enjoy a chat with friends or simply read the papers.

Dog-Friendly and Cyclist-Friendly

We're delighted to welcome dogs and their owners, providing water bowls and treats to make them feel at home. Our location, near the Erewash Valley trail, makes us a popular stop for cyclists and walkers, too. Plus, with frequent local transport links to Nottingham, Derby, Ilkeston, and Long Eaton, we're easily accessible by bus or car.

Celebrate with Us

Whether it's a special occasion or just a night out with friends, we've got you covered. Take a look at our menus, special events, and offers, and call us to book your celebration. We can't wait to help you make some unforgettable memories!

Accommodation

If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay, our 11 rooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs, double wardrobes, and free Wi-Fi. Whilst we don't offer en-suite bathrooms, our shared facilities are clean and well-maintained. And, with Stapleford town centre just outside our doorstep, you'll find plenty of restaurants and takeaways to suit every taste.
