Located in the heart of Port Ellen, SeaSalt is a newly opened bistro-takeaway that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our chefs pride themselves on creating a diverse range of dishes using locally sourced ingredients, including Islay-landed lobster, langoustines, and scallops, as well as Argyll beef, lamb, and venison.

At SeaSalt, we are committed to providing exceptional service to all our customers. Our welcoming and attentive staff are always available to offer a smile and a warm welcome to our guests. From our open kitchen, our chefs prepare a wide range of dishes, from freshly made pizzas to seafood and steaks. We are proud of our menu, which changes seasonally and incorporates the freshest ingredients from local suppliers.
Our Menus
We have four individual menus to choose from: Breakfast, Sit In, Pizza, and Take-Away. Each menu offers a variety of dishes to suit every taste and dietary requirement. You can download our menus from our website or visit us in person to browse our extensive menu.
Takeaway Service
In addition to our sit-in service, we also offer a wide range of dishes for takeaway. Our takeaway menu is available from 5pm till 8.45pm (last order) and can be ordered online or over the phone.
Reservations
We recommend making a reservation to ensure a table, especially during peak season. You can do this by calling us on 01496 300300 or using the reservation form on our website. Please note that your reservation is only final when we have confirmed it by email or phone.
Opening Hours
Our opening hours are as follows: Monday to Saturday, 10am to 11.30am (Breakfast/Coffee Time), 12pm to 2.30pm (Lunch), 3pm to 5pm (Closed), and 5pm to 8.45pm (Dinner). We closed on Sundays.
Booking Policy
During peak season (April to October), we operate with a 2-Sitting Dinner System. The first table sitting reservation starts from 5pm or 5.30pm, where the table needs to be returned before 7.30pm. The second table sitting begins from 7.30pm. For reservations of 7 guests or more, a deposit of 10 per person is payable with the confirmation of the booking. Cancellation fees apply, and we reserve the right to keep the deposit if the cancellation notice is not received 48 hours prior to the reservation time.
