Positive Feedback and Experience
The reviews from David Watson, Martin Worth, Robin Laushway, and Jeremy are all extremely positive. They highlight the excellent service and instruction provided by East Anglian Sea School (EASS) and its instructors. The friends and family of the reviewer, Martin Worth, found the ICC course to be enjoyable and well-structured. The instructor, Jonathan Conne, was praised by David Watson for his ability to teach and guide him to achieve his Competent Crew certification. Robin Laushway appreciated the instructor, Paul, for making the RYA course challenging and fun. Jeremy's 3-day sailing trip with EASS was described as an epic adventure and praised the instructors, the yacht, and the experience.
Negative Feedback and Experience
The review from Licia Capra was extremely negative. She found the teaching style of her instructor, Peter, to be shocking, as he would ask quiz-style questions before providing any explanation, leaving students feeling unprepared. The instructor never demonstrated knots, leaving students to learn them from a book. Additionally, the instructor did not cook or do any washing up for the entire duration of the course, leaving the students to do all the tasks. The boat was also in disrepair, with the hob not working and the oven not being cleaned.
Conclusion
Overall, the reviews for East Anglian Sea School (EASS) were overwhelmingly positive, with students praising the excellent service and instruction provided by the school and its instructors. However, one student, Licia Capra, had a negative experience with the school and found the teaching style to be unhelpful and the instructor to be unprofessional.
