Welcome to Burleigh House Day Nursery, a leading provider of childcare services in Newport, South Wales. Our nursery is located in a quiet residential area, close to the town centre and junctions 26 and 27 of the M4 motorway.

Our History

Burleigh House Day Nursery was established in January 1992, and since then, we have built a reputation for excellence in childcare. Over the years, we have invested heavily in developing our staff, equipment, and environment to continually improve our provision. Our nursery is based in a substantial house, suitably adapted for childcare, with a large enclosed garden where children can enjoy a wide range of outside play equipment.

We believe that children learn and develop best through play, exploration, and discovery, and we provide a nurturing environment that encourages creativity, imagination, and learning.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to support the development of your child, including:

• Full-day and half-day sessions, available from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday
• A Preschool Curriculum based on the Foundation Phase, tailored to meet the needs of children aged 3-5 years
• A provision of meals, prepared daily on the premises, with vegetarian and dietary options available
• A garden area that provides a rich, multi-sensory environment for exploration and learning
• A team of qualified childcare practitioners, dedicated to providing high-quality care and education

The Foundation Phase

The Foundation Phase is a framework that aims to enhance the learning experiences of children, encouraging creativity, imagination, and learning through play. At Burleigh House, we use this framework to structure our Preschool Curriculum, providing opportunities for children to explore, discover, and learn.

Our Rooms

We have three rooms, catering to the needs of children aged 0-2 years, 2-3 years, and 3-5 years. Each room is designed to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that supports the development of your child.

Activities and Developments

At Burleigh House, we believe that activities and developments are essential in supporting the learning and development of your child. Our garden area provides a wonderful space for children to explore, learn, and have fun, while our indoor spaces are designed to provide opportunities for creativity, imagination, and learning.

Provision of Meals

We take pride in providing nutritious meals for our children, prepared daily on the premises. Our menu is displayed in the entrance hall, and we cater for vegetarian and dietary requirements. Fresh fruit and vegetables are provided daily, and pureed fruit and vegetables are available for our younger babies.
