Our History and Heritage
Abbotts Meats is a traditional butcher's shop that has been serving the local community for generations. Our roots date back to the early 1900s, when a butcher's shop was first established on the prestigious Lisburn Road in Belfast. We have been operating from this location since the early 1940s, making us one of the oldest and most esteemed butcher's shops in Northern Ireland.

Our Farm and Farming Practices
At Abbotts Meats, we not only sell high-quality meat products, but we also grow our own beef on our family farm. This allows us to have complete control over the quality and provenance of our meat, ensuring that every cut of meat meets our exacting standards. We raise around 120 head of cattle on our farm, purchasing the best available cattle at the local livestock markets in Co. Antrim. We only buy in cattle between the ages of 8 to 12 months, guaranteeing that our beef is tender, juicy, and full of flavour.

As well as providing all the usual cuts of meat, such as steaks, chops, and roasting joints, Abbotts Meats also offers a range of exclusive products, including our famous sausages, burgers, and barbecue packs. We take pride in our dedication to quality, ensuring that every product that leaves our shop meets the highest standards of freshness, taste, and presentation.

Our Opening Hours and Location
You can visit us at our shop on Lisburn Road, Belfast, BT9 7EL. We are open from Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for any revised opening hours or special promotions.
