The Joinery Coffee Shop is situated in the centre of the village of Meigle, only a couple of miles from Perthshire's border with Angus and a 20-minute drive from Dundee city centre. Originally a Joiner's Workshop, the premises was bought by local lady Mary Conacher and her husband Fred back in 1992. Over the next two years they worked tirelessly to transform the building into a warm, welcoming village coffee shop and opened the doors to the public in February 1994. The Joinery has been owned and managed by local mum of four, vet's wife, and Perth College UHI Professional Cookery graduate, Ann Durston, since November 2016. Over the years the shop has become a well-established and much-loved local eatery, with tasty homemade soups, light lunches, specialty hot and cold drinks, and a wonderful array of homebaking always on the menu. Everything is made daily here on the premises, and all food and drinks are freshly prepared to order in our open kitchen.
