Rye Pottery is a contemporary design-led company in Sussex, England, originally established in the late 1700s. We're a family-owned business producing unique hand-made tiles, homewares, and decorative accessories. As a classic artisan production business, we bridge the gap between studio and industry, creating a range of majolica creatures and homewares. We're renowned for our beautiful hand-made homewares and unique decorative accessories, with countless awards and pieces held in galleries and design collections around the world. We occupy an increasingly rare position as a small British production pottery, producing everything by hand using a 17th Century decorating technique, known as English Delftware. Our designs feature a time-consuming 17th Century decorating technique, known variously as Faience, Majolica or Delft, combined with our beautiful colour palette and strong sculptural shapes, creating a look that is quintessentially Rye Pottery.
