Having fulfilled her aspirations as a professional dancer, performing both internationally and on the West End stage, Helen decided to pursue another lifelong dream of becoming a Yoga teacher. In 2013, she travelled to India to complete a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training course in the Himalayas. After qualifying, Helen taught a variety of classes at studios across London, including beginner and advanced yoga, private classes, pregnancy yoga, mum & baby yoga, and classes tailored specifically for dancers. Now settled in the picturesque Vale of Belvoir, Helen conducts weekly classes online and in person, cultivating a loyal and dedicated following.
Helen's classes are renowned for their energy and enthusiasm, with regular attendees making incredible progress in their practice. As a mother of two young children born just 18 months apart, Helen attributes her relatively trouble-free pregnancies and natural labours to the practice and teaching of pregnancy yoga. She continued to practise and teach until the due dates in both pregnancies, and her children, Sienna and Bobby, now enjoy practising alongside her at home. Helen strives to create a fun, challenging environment that empowers individuals to feel strong in their bodies and minds. All abilities are welcome in her classes.
Class Timetable
Helen offers weekly adult group yoga classes for all abilities at Thorpe Arnold Village Hall, Jubilee Sports Melton Mowbray, Waltham on the Wolds Village Hall, and Frisby on the Wreake Village Hall. With morning, lunchtime, and evening classes available, there is sure to be a time that suits your schedule. Additionally, Helen teaches Pregnancy Yoga and Mum and Baby Yoga classes to support women through every stage of their journey.
Schools, Corporate, and Sports Club Yoga
Helen has extensive experience in providing classes for breakfast and after-school clubs, corporate and professional sports teams. She has even taught the Oxford United football team on a weekly basis during their promotion from league 2 in 2015-16. Helen is dedicated to sharing the benefits of yoga with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Pregnancy Yoga
Yoga is hugely beneficial during and after pregnancy, promoting calmness and providing more space for baby to grow, allowing for a quicker recovery after labour. Helen is passionate about providing a supportive, nurturing environment for expectant mothers, ensuring that they feel strong and confident throughout their pregnancies.
