Appointments

At French Weir Health Centre, we offer a range of appointment types to suit your needs. You can book an appointment online, over the phone, or in person at the surgery. We also offer online GP consultations for your convenience. Our appointments are available Monday to Friday, with extended hours on certain days.

Prescriptions

Our patients can order repeat prescriptions online or by using our patient access app. We aim to process all prescription requests within 48 hours, although during busy periods this may take longer. We kindly ask that you order your prescriptions in a timely manner to ensure that you do not run out of medication.

Clinics & Services

In addition to general medical consultations, we offer a range of clinics and services at French Weir Health Centre. These include:

Mark Anderson criticized the centre's poor service, stating that he had to wait 20 minutes to get a hold of someone and that he felt he had to "work hard and invest a lot of energy in getting good healthcare" from the practice. H. Rowbridge was also unhappy with the centre, stating that they were given an outdated email address and that the staff seemed "incompetent". Shane Norm Goldrick and Barbara Thomas also had issues with the centre, with Shane Norm Goldrick saying that he had to wait over 48 hours for a fit-to-work note via email and Barbara Thomas stating that her 93-year-old mother was not treated properly and had to wait for long periods of time to get an appointment.

Bureaucracy and Disorganization

Some reviewers have also complained about the centre's bureaucracy and disorganization. Becky Walford had difficulty getting a repeat prescription, saying that the centre's bureaucracy seemed designed to prevent her from reaching anyone useful. Hairy Monkey also had issues with the centre, stating that they were given incorrect information and had to wait in line for long periods of time to get an appointment.
