We also sell other Rutland-produced products and a wide range of the famous Wilkins & Sons 'Tiptree' preserves and other condiments. Whether you're looking for a fresh loaf of bread, a sweet treat, or a quick snack, we have something to suit every taste and occasion.
Our History
Our history began in 1867 when Senior Baines founded the bakery on School Lane, Uppingham. He passed on his passion for the trade to his son Edward Senior Baines, who carried on the running of the business in 1901. In the same year, he won the Gold Medal Bread award and a national association of Master Bakers competition, of which the certificate is still on display in the shop today. Throughout the years, our bakery has remained committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

At Baines Bakery, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, freshness, and customer service. We believe in supporting local suppliers and using only the finest ingredients to ensure that our products are of the highest quality. We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our bakery, where customers can feel at home and enjoy a truly personalized shopping experience.
