Whitstable Childcare

Whitstable Childcare is a well-established and reputable childcare service provider based in beautiful Tankerton, Kent. Our founders, Lisa and Duncan, are both Ofsted Registered Childminders with a combined experience of over 15 years. We take pride in offering a warm, welcoming, and home-from-home environment for your child, where they can thrive and develop in a safe and nurturing setting.

Our Qualifications and Training

As Ofsted Registered Childminders, we have undergone rigorous training and inspections to ensure that we meet the highest standards of childcare. Lisa has received her third Outstanding Grade in June 2021, while Duncan received an Outstanding Grade during his first graded inspection, also in June 2021. We are members of PACEY, with whom we are fully insured, and the Whitstable Childminding Group. Additionally, we are Eligible Childminders, allowing us to draw funding for the Working Parents Entitlement of Nursery Education from the age of two years, including the 30 hours entitlement.

Our Services

At Whitstable Childcare, we provide a range of services to cater to the unique needs of your child. Our setting is a bungalow with a spacious downstairs area dedicated to minding, including a fabulous conservatory that serves as a playroom. The garden is fully enclosed, well-equipped, and accessible to the children every day. We provide sun hats, waterproof all-in-ones, wellington boots, and other essential items to ensure that your child is comfortable and happy in all types of weather. Our services include regular childminding, adhoc cover, and funding for nursery education from the age of two years.

Our Team

Lisa, the owner and Early Years Educator, has been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2004. Duncan, the Early Years Educator, has been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2017. Together, we bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our setting. We are passionate about providing a nurturing environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of your child.
