Where your cat's happiness and safety are our top priority

A Cosy and Caring Home from Home

Welcome to Burlish Cattery, a premier cat boarding accommodation nestled in the heart of Stourport-on-Severn. Our establishment is a 5-star rated facility by Wyre Forest District Council, offering the highest standard of care and accommodation for your beloved feline friends. With a licence number of 23/01050/ANIACT and held by Lynne Barnes, you can rest assured that your cats are in capable and caring hands.

At Burlish Cattery, we provide a warm and comfortable home away from home for your cats. All our suites boast a splendid view of our well-tended garden, allowing your feline companions to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Our small and intimate setting enables us to truly get to know each and every guest, ensuring their stay with us is as joyous and stress-free as possible. As we cater exclusively to cats, our guests enjoy a tranquil and soothing environment, free from the hustle and bustle of other animals.

We provide human company and health observations around the clock, unlike pet sitting services that visit infrequently. Our on-site presence offers you peace of mind, knowing that your cats are safe, warm, and well cared for while you are away. Each suite can accommodate up to two cats from the same family, with some featuring interconnecting doors for up to four cats to stay together. Our sleeping compartments are insulated and equipped with thermostatically controlled heating panels for the colder months, ensuring your cats stay warm and cosy. During warmer weather, our outer cattery shutters can be removed, creating a refreshing outdoor ambience while maintaining full security.

Our cat accommodation suites are constructed by the UK's leading cattery manufacturer, Lindee Lu Ltd, and approved by International Cat Care. We are fully licensed and insured, and our facilities include:

  • A stunning view of our garden from every suite
  • Solid, full-height sneeze barriers between suites
  • A thermostatically controlled heating panel in every sleeping compartment
  • Air conditioning
  • Raised sleeping areas
  • A security corridor
  • A selection of cat toys and scratching posts
  • Multi-level climbing platforms
  • Self-heating fleecy mats and heat pads in winter
  • Freshly washed bedding and baskets
  • A security alarm system on our cattery building

Vaccination and Healthcare

At Burlish Cattery, your cat's health and safety are our top priority. For your cat to board with us, they must have up-to-date vaccinations for feline enteritis and feline influenza. Our team will need to see your Vaccination Record Card before confirming your booking, and we kindly request you bring it along on arrival day. If you are unsure about your cat's vaccination requirements, please consult our 'Vaccination guide' or contact us for advice.

To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend bringing familiar toys or bedding from home. If you prefer, we can provide these items for your cat at no additional cost. For safety, please remove any cat collars before bringing your feline friends to our cattery.

Should your cat require medical attention, we have a signed consent form on file, allowing us to seek veterinary assistance as necessary. It is crucial you inform us of any existing or past medical conditions so we can quickly recognise and respond to signs of illness. Our primary veterinary practice is Vets4Pets, located at 409B Stourport Road, Kidderminster, DY11 7BG.

Before boarding commences, your cat must be treated with effective flea and worm products. Vet-prescribed treatments are strongly recommended as they are more effective than store-bought alternatives. Please note that flea collars are not accepted as suitable flea control. We provide a range of well-known foods at our facility, and special dietary requirements can be catered to at your expense.
