Our History
Our historic home, built in 1870 by William Hall, has been a private residence and even served as officers' accommodation for RAF Kenley during World War II. Since 1965, our family has been committed to providing exceptional care to our residents, and we continue to do so with kindness, compassion, and a dedication to meeting the individual needs of each and every one of our residents.
Our Services
We offer a range of services, including nursing care, respite care, intermediate care, and palliative care. Our intermediate care programme is designed to support residents in their rehabilitation journey, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to build up their strength and independence. Our staff work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and community consultants to ensure that each resident receives the highest level of care.
Our Facilities
Our spacious Victorian interiors provide elegant living spaces, including three large lounges, a dining room, garden lounge, and a conservatory. We also have a hairdressing salon, which is operational weekly. Our variable menu caters to all dietary needs, and we operate a full laundry service. Our weekly programme of activities allows residents to participate in various events, and we encourage them to attend our monthly resident meetings. Our mature gardens are accessible to wheelchair users, and residents can enjoy a barbecue in the summer months.
Meet the Team
Our team of dedicated professionals is led by Proprietor Dr. Michael Sturgess, Registered Manager Tom Sturgess, and Deputy Manager Gemma Tough. Our team also includes Lead Nurse Pillay Jagambrun, Quality Assurance Manager Shanna White, Medications Manager Beverlie Morgan, Care Co-Ordinator Tracey Barter, and Secretary Anne Kerrigan. We have a fantastic group of care and domestic staff from all parts of the world, who receive NTO-approved induction training and have completed their NVQ2 in social care.
