Your quality business solution in the heart of Greenock

The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) is a professional body that plays a significant role within the counselling and psychotherapy sector in the UK. We are dedicated to supporting and promoting counsellors, counselling, and related therapies, and we believe in the vocational nature of this field. We uphold the importance of the relationship between the counsellor and the client, recognising that it is crucial to the outcome of therapy.

Our membership and training provider benefits are extensive, and we are proud to have been one of the first organisations to gain Accredited Register status with the Professional Standards Authority's Accredited Register programme in May 2013. This status demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of practice and safety in the counselling profession.

  • Professional Development: We offer Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for counsellors and other professionals working in healthcare and public-facing roles.
  • Advocacy: We actively advocate for the profession and its practitioners, promoting the value of counselling and related therapies.
  • Code of Ethics: The NCPS adheres to a Code of Ethics to ensure that all members maintain the highest standards of practice.
