Building Relationships, Empowering Growth
We are a counselling and psychotherapy practice based in West Sussex, providing services in Chichester and Arundel. Our practice is led by a counsellor and psychotherapist who is MBACP (accredited) and UKRCP registered, with extensive experience in working with adults, young people, and couples. Our goal is to help clients find their voice and comprehend their emotional concerns and problems, allowing them to better understand how to cope with life's challenges. We strive to provide a non-judgmental and safe space for clients to explore their feelings and experiences.
Our Services
At our practice, we offer a range of services, including psychotherapeutic counselling, psychotherapy, and couple counselling. Our services can help with a range of issues, including:
- Relationship difficulties
- Panic attacks
- Anxiety
- Eating disorders
- Loss and bereavement
- Addictions
- Depression
- Abuse
We understand that each individual and situation is unique and believe in a personalized approach to counselling and psychotherapy. While our general approach is rooted in the Humanistic tradition, which emphasizes the importance of a relational-based therapy, we draw on a variety of traditions and modalities, including psychodynamic work, cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred work, transactional analysis, and existentialism.
Our Team
Our lead practitioner has a Masters degree in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, incorporating a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychotherapy and an Advanced Certificate in Couple Counselling. They are registered with the MBACP and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, and have liability insurance and regular supervision. We are constantly learning and extending our knowledge, including currently taking further training in CBT.
Experience and Interests
Our team has extensive experience in a range of areas, including working with GP practices, hospices, teaching hospitals, local primary schools, and in mediating work-based disputes. We have a particular interest in trauma counselling and the effects of loss and grief. Our lead practitioner also has a background in teaching, and we believe that this experience contributes to our ability to provide a supportive and empathetic environment for clients.
Approach to Counselling
We strive to approach each client with empathy and understanding, facilitating full discussion of problems as they are presented while aiming to assist clients in arriving at new perspectives and ways of dealing with their concerns. We understand that taking the first step towards finding a counsellor can be daunting and want to reassure you that we will work to help you feel safe and comfortable.
