Our Journey
Established in 1988, Blackpool Laundry Company began operations with the intention of serving the hospitality sector with unparalleled quality and service. The company was family-owned from the beginning, and that ethos remains today. Over the years, the business grew from a single laundry to multiple locations, with gradually increasing capacity and advanced equipment. The acquisition of several guest houses and larger customers contributed to this growth.
The company became limited in 2000, and expansion continued. In 2001, Blackpool Laundry acquired adjacent premises, doubling its capacity. In 2018, we celebrate 33 years of continuous success and pride ourselves on the strong relationships we have built with our customers.
Our Process
Our meticulous product quality monitoring begins with trained operatives who specialize in specific workstations within our processing plant. Sorting is the first opportunity to check for linen quality, followed by post-washing for cleanliness and damage. Different categories of linen take specific directions within the plant for finishing requirements. Linen is inspected at every stage, from sorting to packing, to ensure it meets the customer's specifications and our high-quality standards. Items that fail inspection are either rewashed or sorted into the appropriate rag cage.
