Marriage and Couples Counselling

Couples often experience a breakdown of communication, leading to repetitive cycles of self-destructive behavior. Our approach focuses on building open and calm communication to understand each other, resolve conflict, and meet each other's needs. We also work on building greater appreciation, care, and fun to reignite love and connection in the relationship.

Three-Step Approach to Rebuild Your Relationship

1. Gain Awareness: Recognize your relationship dynamics and identify underlying issues. Understand how initial excitement can fade over time, leading to power struggles and emotional distance. Recognize common patterns like one partner being direct while the other withdraws, or past experiences triggering sudden arguments.

2. Improve Communication and Conflict Resolution: Develop new communication skills to foster a healthier relationship. Replace negative criticism with active listening and empathetic responses. Utilize techniques like "mirroring" and paraphrasing to ensure both partners feel heard and understood.

3. Rekindle Love and Connection: Focus on nurturing emotional intimacy, trust, and commitment. Explore ways to create a supportive and loving environment, and develop a deeper understanding of each other's needs and desires.

Online Counselling

We recognize that not everyone has the time or convenience to attend in-person sessions. That's why we offer online counselling using Zoom, Skype, video calls on WhatsApp, and phone calls. Our online sessions are designed to provide the same level of support and guidance as our in-person sessions, all from the comfort of your own home.

My Approach

As a BACP accredited psychotherapist and Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, I draw from a variety of disciplines to create an integrative approach tailored to each client's unique needs. My approach is centered around building trust, empathy, and understanding, allowing clients to feel safe and supported throughout their journey.

How It Works

If you're interested in starting therapy, we recommend booking a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and whether our services are a good fit. We offer daytime and evening sessions during the week and Sunday mornings. Our initial session is an opportunity to talk freely about what you're seeking from therapy, how I can help, and to answer any questions you may have.

Insurance and Cancellation Policy

We are registered with various insurance providers, including Bupa, Cigna, Axa, WPA, Vitality, and Aviva. All sessions are 50 minutes long. Sessions cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled meeting time are payable in full. We're committed to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and adhering to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
