Welcome to Nuneaton and North Warwickshire Equestrian Centre, a charity-based riding facility that has been providing services to both able-bodied and disabled riders since 1979. Founded by the renowned television personality Larry Grayson, our centre has been a haven for individuals seeking to improve their physical and mental well-being through horse riding.
We offer lessons for both children and adults who suffer from a wide range of physical and learning disabilities. Our experienced instructors provide stimulating and enjoyable challenges that help to improve coordination, balance, and confidence. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to ride and experience the joy and freedom that it brings.
In addition to our disability riding lessons, we also offer able-bodied lessons ranging from novice to advanced riders. We have a strong Pony Club group that is regularly involved in training days and camps. Our team of eight horses and ponies are carefully selected to ensure that we can provide the best possible experience for our riders.
Horse Therapy
We are delighted to introduce our Horse Therapy sessions for people who cannot or do not wish to ride. These sessions provide an opportunity for individuals to connect with our horses in a safe and supportive environment. Horse Therapy has been shown to have numerous benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving mood and emotional well-being, and increasing social interaction.
Our Team
Our team of experienced staff and volunteers are dedicated to providing a positive and supportive environment for all of our clients. Our instructors are qualified to BHS level 3 and have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the equestrian world. We also have a number of volunteers who carry out their work experience with us, many of whom go on to work for us. Our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that our horses are happy and healthy, and that our clients have the best possible experience.
Donations
As a charity, we rely on the kind generosity of others to help support what we do. Donations are used towards the development of our charity and the improvement of our facilities. In the past, we have used donations to purchase new saddles for our horses, improve our equipment, and develop our equestrian centre. We have set up various ways to donate, including a hat fundraiser and an Amazon wishlist, as well as a monthly subscription donation.
