Holyrood Playgroup

Holyrood Playgroup is a preschool that provides high-quality childcare for children aged 2 years and above. Our experienced and dedicated staff are committed to creating a fun and engaging environment that fosters learning and development through play. We understand that every child is unique, and we strive to provide individualized care and attention that meets their specific needs.

Our Aims

Our primary aim is to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that allows children to grow and thrive. We believe that children learn best through play, and we offer a wide range of activities and experiences that cater to their interests and abilities. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and we work closely with parents and carers to ensure that each child receives the support and guidance they need to succeed.

Our Facilities

Our bright and airy playroom is designed to inspire creativity and imagination, with a variety of spaces and activities that encourage children to explore and learn. Our outside area is just as exciting, with a sensory garden, mud kitchen, and wild garden that provide endless opportunities for discovery and adventure. Our grass and timber trail is perfect for running and climbing, and our dedicated staff are always on hand to ensure that children are safe and happy.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to support families and carers, including flexible childcare options, funded places for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds, and a breakfast club. Our staff are experienced and qualified, and we maintain a high staff-to-child ratio to ensure that each child receives the attention and care they need. We are registered with Ofsted and are a charity-registered organization, and we are committed to providing the highest standards of care and education.

Our Staff

Our staff are our greatest asset, and we are proud to have a team of dedicated, experienced, and qualified practitioners who are committed to providing the best possible care and education for our children. Our supervisor, Tessa Spiller, has 27 years of experience at Holyrood Playgroup and holds a NVQ Level 3 in Child Care & Education. Our pre-school assistants, Louise Clarke and Emma Halford, bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to their roles, and we are proud to have them as part of our team.
