St Georges Pre

St George's Pre School is a welcoming and inclusive learning environment based in Taunton, Somerset. Established in 2014, our preschool operates from a purpose-built modular building, open and accessible to all members of the community. We are dedicated to providing high-quality early years education, fostering a love for learning in children aged between 2 and 4 years.

Our ethos revolves around educational play, as we believe that it is through play that children learn to make sense of their world and develop socially, physically, creatively, and intellectually. Our experienced and passionate staff members support and work closely with each child and their parents/carers to deliver personalised plans catering to their care, well-being, and learning.

At St George's Pre School, we offer various session times to accommodate different family needs:

• 9am - 3.15pm (full day)
• 9am - 12pm (morning only)
• 9am - 12.45pm (with lunch, supplied by parents)
• 12.45 - 3.15pm (afternoon only)

We are registered to offer 24 places each day, and we operate on a term-time-only basis. Our fees are as follows:

• 3-4 year olds: 5.25 per hour
• 2 year olds: 5.75 per hour

Inclusion and Special Educational Needs (SEND)

St George's Pre School is dedicated to providing an inclusive learning environment. We have an SEND Offer in place to ensure that children with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they need. Please note that attending St George's Pre School does not guarantee a place at St George's Catholic Primary School. School admissions are processed by Somerset County Council's Admissions Department.

St George's Pre School opened in February 2014 and has since provided high-quality early years education to children in the local community. We are proud of our purpose-built modular building and the welcoming atmosphere it provides for our students.

Funding and Financial Assistance

We offer various funding opportunities to help families access our services. These include:

• Nursery Education Funding for 3-4 year olds (up to 15 hours per week)
• Funding for Two Year Olds for Working Families (15 hours of funded childcare)
• Two year old Early Education Entitlement (for qualifying children)
• Childcare Vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare (please refer to the Government website for eligibility and terms)
