Care that's close to our heart
St. Georges Care Home (Wigan) Ltd is a family-run nursing home that has been serving the community for over 30 years. Our aim is to provide a comfortable home and deliver the highest level of care in a dignified and compassionate way. We are managed by a team of highly-qualified staff who consistently strive to improve our resident's quality of life.
Our Services
We provide a range of services, including General Nursing & EMI Nursing, Dementia Care, Respite Care & Short Breaks, and End of Life Care. Our dedicated nursing team provides 24/7 care, and we have a small friendly EMI Unit with a memory room. We also offer a range of activities, including group sessions and 1-on-1 sessions, to ensure that our residents stay engaged and active. Our partnership with Hospice in care home team in Wigan enables us to provide End of Life Care that is tailored to the individual's needs.
Our Approach
Our ethos is to care for the residents as if they were our own family, and we believe that a nursing home is only as good as the staff. That's why we have a team of highly trained, professional, caring, and compassionate staff, with minimal to no use of agency staff. We take a person-centred approach, tailoring our care to each individual's needs and concerns, rather than a 'one routine fits all' approach.
Our Team
Our team is led by the Directors, Mr Haria and Sheena Gudhka, a father and daughter team who jointly run two homes in their portfolio: St Georges Wallasey and St. Georges Wigan. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest level of care, and we are always looking for ways to improve our services.
