Haslingfield Little Owls Pre-school is a registered charity (Charity number 1174884) that provides a fun, caring, and creative environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. We are dedicated to enabling the Little Owls to reach their true potential and support their early years development. Our goal is to ensure that each Little Owl is in a safe and stimulating environment, receives generous care and attention, and has the opportunity to join with other children and adults to live, play, work and learn together.

Our Approach

At Haslingfield Little Owls Pre-school, we believe in the importance of nature-based and child-led learning. We work in partnership with parents and carers to help children learn and develop, while adding to the life and well-being of the local community. We aim to provide quality care and education that sees parents as partners in helping each Little Owl to learn and develop. Our setting is one in which parents help to shape the service it offers.

We are proud to have a committed team of teaching staff who are passionate about early years education. Our teaching staff have a wealth of experience in child care and are dedicated to ensuring that each Little Owl receives the care and attention they need to thrive.

Services Offered

We offer quality care and education for children aged 2 to 4 years (inc.) and run morning sessions five days a week and afternoon sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. From September 2023, we will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 9am-3pm and on Thursdays and Fridays from 9am-1pm. Our fees are competitive, and invoices are issued on a termly basis and are due for payment at the beginning of the term. We also offer a 'pay monthly' payment option for families who prefer.

We have a key person system in place, which ensures that each Little Owl has a personal key person who makes sure they make good progress. Our key person system also helps us to build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring that we can work together to support each Little Owl's learning and development.

At Haslingfield Little Owls Pre-school, we are committed to supporting home learning during the coronavirus lockdown and staying safe online. We understand the importance of keeping children safe and informed in today's digital age, and we work closely with parents and carers to ensure that each Little Owl is using technology safely and responsibly.

In addition to our core services, we also offer a range of extracurricular activities and events, including fundraising events and community events. We believe that it is important for children to be involved in their community and to have the opportunity to give back. Our fundraising events are a great way for children to learn about the importance of giving back and the value of community.

We are proud to be a registered charity, and we are regulated by Ofsted, who carry out inspection visits within their normal regime. On the 21 June 2022, we received the rating of 'good' across all areas of the preschool. See Ofsted Report 2022.
