Welcome to The Cellar Trust, a registered mental health charity based in the Bradford district, Craven, and surrounding areas. Our mission is to support individuals struggling with their mental health, empowering them to live positively and independently, and build their own brighter future. We believe that everyone has mental health, and it is our purpose to be there for people when they face challenges, enabling them to move forward.

Our History

Established in 1983, The Cellar Trust has been providing vital mental health services for over three decades. What started as a small local project has grown into a registered charity, serving thousands of people across the region. Our approach has always been person-centred, recognising that everyone's experience of mental health is unique.

What We Do

We provide a range of services, including:

  • Safe Spaces: Our crisis support service provides a calm, safe space for one-to-one support, 365 days a year, for people in emotional distress or crisis.
  • Peer Support: We facilitate peer support, where people with experience of mental ill-health support each other towards better wellbeing.
  • Employment Support: Our Employment service provides person-centred support, helping individuals to move on to education, volunteering, or employment.
  • Mental Health Training: We develop and deliver mental health, well-being, and peer support training for organisations and professionals.
  • MAST: Our Multi-Agency-Support-Team provides support at Bradford Royal Infirmary and Airedale General Hospital, and in the community on discharge.
  • HOPE Follow-up: We offer person-centred, non-clinical 1-1 Peer Support.
  • Reach: We provide one-to-one support for up to 6 months to identify personal goals and work together to achieve them.
  • Trust Therapies: Our counselling and therapy service help individuals explore and cope with a range of emotional challenges.
