Q D C

Queniborough Dance Company (Q.D.C.) has been a leading provider of dance education in the Leicestershire area for over 25 years. Established in 1996 with just 26 pupils, the school has since grown to accommodate over 200 students taking part in a variety of classes. These include traditional dance styles such as ballet, tap, and modern, as well as adult fitness, adult tap, boogie babes, gymnastics, and professional training for those who wish to take their dance education to the next level.

The whole aim of Q.D.C. is for children to have fun as they learn dancing skills, and this is mirrored by the easy-going approach of the teachers. Janet Tarry, the Principal, leads a team of dedicated professionals who share her vision. The school's main assistants are Sarah Beange, Lucy Poole, Heidi Grudgings, and Jessica Coleman.

All dance classes operate from our spacious and well-equipped premises at 109 Broad Street, Syston, LE7 1GJ.

Exams

Throughout the year, when we are not working towards our Annual Show or the fabulous events that we take part in, we are working towards exams! All children work towards the exams to improve their skills, however, we do not insist that the children take the official exams if they do not want to. We follow the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) syllabus and offer exams in Ballet, Tap, Modern, and Freestyle. We also offer teaching exams through the IDTA to older students who wish to dance to a further level.

Annual Show

Our Annual Show is a highlight of the Q.D.C. calendar and a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their talents on stage. Held at the Mountsorrel Memorial Centre, the show is a wonderful celebration of dance and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and teachers.

Uniform

We sell all the uniform, shoes, bags, etc., for our classes, and they can be purchased directly from our website or from our premises at 109 Broad Street, Syston, LE7 1GJ.

Community & Events

Q.D.C. is proud to be an active member of the local community. We regularly take part in local events and initiatives, and we are committed to providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience the joy and benefits of dance.
