Sentient Counselling is a professional and private counselling service based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. About Darren Magee
Our lead therapist, Darren Magee, is a qualified and experienced therapist with many years of experience in the field of counselling. He has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups, addressing a range of issues, including trauma, chronic illness, abuse, personality disorders, addiction, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and bereavement.
Our Approach
At Sentient Counselling, we adopt an integrative approach, drawing on various therapeutic models, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred, Psychodynamic, and Solution Focused approaches. This enables us to tailor our services to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
Accreditation and Membership
Darren Magee is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling Society (NCS). He adheres to their codes of ethics and professional standards.
Additional Qualifications and Training
Darren has also received training in the Rewind Technique for working with PTSD and is an Anxiety UK approved therapist. He is a registered therapist with BUPA and a member of the Northern Ireland Counselling Forum.
