Oculus started as a humble contact lens centre in 1996, located on the corner of All Saints Green. From the very beginning, our mission was clear - to provide the finest lenses, unparalleled service, excellent value for money, and a welcoming smile. It didn't take long for our dedicated team, led by Jeff, to establish Oculus as one of the leading contact lens opticians in the Eastern region.
In 2014, Jeff had a life-changing encounter on a train with someone donning stylish glasses. This individual revealed that their glasses were from a boutique optician in Glasgow. Intrigued, Jeff reached out to the Glasgow optician and discovered an entirely new realm of eyewear and a fresh approach to dispensing it. This experience inspired the creation of Oculus Norwich, which combines a boutique eyewear opticians offering full private and NHS eye examinations with a specialist contact lens optician. In 2016, we moved to our current location at 16 All Saints Green, designed specifically for our unique dual purpose.
