Our History
Pickards Butchers started as a small pork butchers shop in 1989, founded by David and his mum Jean. Through hard work and dedication, the business grew, and we introduced more lines such as beef and lamb. As the business expanded, we outgrew our premises and had to move to a larger location. In 1993, we bought the property next door and extended the shop to introduce the delicatessen side of the business, offering sandwiches and more cooked produce. This enabled us to start up an outside catering service, which has been a huge success.

We are particularly proud of our homemade Yorkshire pork sausages, which are made with love and care using traditional recipes.
