Our Master Pastry Chef, Falko, uses his expertise and passion to craft each and every cake, tart, and gateau that leaves our on-site bakery.

Our Story

Falko, our founder and Master Pastry Chef, hails from Heilbronn, near Stuttgart in Germany, where he learned the art of traditional German baking. With a passion for creating exquisite cakes and gateaux that combine restrained amounts of sugar with subtle, natural flavours, Falko moved to Edinburgh in 1998 to share his expertise with a new audience. His commitment to traditional techniques and labour-intensive skills has earned him a reputation as one of the finest pastry chefs in the region.
