Mental Health Support & Crisis Accommodation in Cornwall
Re-Gain (Cornwall) is a community interest company dedicated to providing mental health support through user-led initiatives. Established in 2009, our organisation prioritises listening, empowerment, and holistic care, with services designed by individuals who understand the challenges of emotional distress. Our Sanctuary Project offers crisis prevention accommodation, while our team combines professional expertise with lived experience to deliver tailored support.

Funded by KCCG, we collaborate with local mental health networks and maintain accreditation through the CRCC EBE Quality Standard. With over two decades of collective experience, our directors and staff integrate counselling, complementary therapies, and peer-led approaches to foster long-term wellbeing. We operate from Oakleigh House in Liskeard, serving communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Services
Crisis accommodation
Our Sanctuary Project provides four-week annual stays in a homely environment for mental health respite. Guests receive individual support, develop safety plans, and access complementary therapies. No cost to users, funded by KCCG.
Complementary therapies
We offer reflexology, reiki, massage, and arts & crafts therapies delivered by staff with lived experience. These non-clinical interventions support emotional regulation and self-care practices for guests.
Peer support groups
Service users co-design and lead support initiatives that shape our mental health services. This collaborative approach ensures our projects remain responsive to community needs and experiences.
Volunteering programs
We provide skill development opportunities through mental health volunteering. Participants gain experience in peer support while contributing to Cornwall's only pre-crisis accommodation project.
Mental health advocacy
Our organisation champions service user perspectives in mental health service development. We facilitate connections between care coordinators, professionals, and individuals experiencing emotional distress.
