Dorset Mind is a local charity supporting people in Dorset experiencing mental health problems. We believe everyone in our community deserves access to the vital support they need to navigate their mental health journeys.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a community where living with and talking about mental health becomes acceptable for everyone. We provide a range of services and resources to empower individuals and support them on their pathways to recovery and wellbeing.

For Adults (18+yo)

  • Adult 121s: One-to-one support from experienced mentors who can offer guidance and companionship.
  • Adult Groups: A safe and supportive environment to connect with others who understand your struggles and celebrate your successes.
  • Adult Safeguarding: Support for those who are concerned about someone else's mental health.

For Young People (10-18yo)

  • Young People 121s: Individual support tailored to the unique needs of young people.
  • Young People Groups: Fun and engaging activities to build resilience, develop coping mechanisms, and connect with others.
  • Young People Safeguarding: Confidential support and guidance for young people who are struggling with their mental health.

For Corporates

  • Partnership opportunities: Working together to create a mentally healthier community.
  • Training and workshops: Building awareness and supporting employees' mental wellbeing.
