At Hart Care, we pride ourselves on providing a warm, safe, and friendly environment for our residents. Our care home is located in Yelverton, Devon, and we have been providing high-quality care for over 25 years.

Residential Care
We provide a warm, safe, and friendly environment where people can maintain their independence if they wish, but have access to support in all areas when they need it. Our care is tailored to meet each resident's individual needs, and we prioritize privacy, dignity, and choice.
Respite Care
Our respite care service allows primary carers, family members or friends to take time away from their everyday care duties to relax, go on holiday, or just have a few hours break. We offer a high-quality respite service, assuring you the peace of mind to enjoy yourself, knowing that your loved one will continue to receive the care and support they need.
End of Life Care
We provide palliative care for both new and existing residents, striving to make life as pleasant as possible for all of our residents, even in the most difficult of circumstances. We ensure our residents are comfortable and cared for, so they can enjoy their time with us and more importantly the precious company of their loved ones.

We offer a range of facilities and activities to our residents, including:
Pet Friendly
We are pet friendly and recognize how important animals are to our residents.
In-House Activities
Our activities include singers, exercise classes, bingo, and experiencing animal therapy where we have regular visits from our bunnies.
Day Trips
We have regular trips throughout the summer and all residents are encouraged to participate. We welcome family and friends on these trips, which continue to be very popular - subject to the current Covid guidelines.
Lounge with Large TV
In March 2021, we started a full refurbishment of the lounge where residents can enjoy watching a movie or simply relax.
Hair Salon and Therapist
We have weekly visits from a hair therapist and a hair salon on site.
Our Commitment to Quality
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care for our residents. Our quality assurance program is overseen by our Registered Manager, who reviews a variety of checks, audits, and surveys every week and month, to ensure that minor issues are addressed in good time, so that they never become major problems.
Staff Development
We invest in our staff, recognizing that having good, motivated staff who buy into our culture equates to great care delivery and ensures that our residents are treated with respect and dignity. We work with our staff via training, supervision, appraisals, and staff meetings to continually improve their practice.
Open and Transparent Relationships
We work hard to maintain open and transparent relationships with Devon County Council, District Nurses, the CQC, relatives, and our residents. We treat complaints and suggestions in a non-defensive and objective manner, as these help us to improve.

One reviewer described the treatment of their grandfather as "absolutely disgusting" and claimed that they will be contacting the CQC to report their concerns. Another reviewer reported a series of incidents, including false daily note entries, lack of personal care, and a failure to follow care plans. They also claimed that their mother received inadequate care, including no assistance with eating, and were unhappy with the response from the owner.
