Traditional Yoga & Meditation in Sunbury
Established in 1997, the Sunbury Yoga Society & Hermeneutic Society offers a holistic approach to traditional yoga rooted in 50 years of dedicated study and practice by our founder, Keith ap Owen. Our focus extends beyond physical postures to encompass meditation, philosophy, and the art of conscious relaxation, creating an inclusive environment for individuals of all ages and abilities. With a lineage tracing back to Eugene Halliday and Khen Ratcliffe, our teachings emphasize self-integration through techniques like Dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (contemplation). We provide structured 6-week courses and regular classes designed to cultivate mental clarity and physical well-being, guided by experienced practitioners who share Keith's commitment to authentic yoga philosophy. As a not-for-profit organisation, we prioritise accessibility and community over commercial interests, maintaining independence from mainstream yoga governing bodies.
